Professional Bio
I am a Registered Nurse, having completed my training at The Royal London Hospital in 1985.  I moved to Australia in 1987 and continued working as an RN, eventually specialising in General Practice, where I worked until 2017.

I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s in 2011 at 47yrs of age. I became increasingly frustrated with the general perception that Parkinson’s is an older persons disease, with little publicity about younger sufferers.  As a result, I have made it my focus to try and raise awareness of Parkinson’s in younger people and the need for research into finding the causes, along with a cure.

I run a peer support group in Melbourne and also help raise awareness through Parkinson’s Victoria. I do some occasional work for Shake It Up Foundation and Parkinson’s Australia.
